To ensure that your Wrist wear will stay behind for years, consider doing the following.
After wearing, wipe your bracelet with a soft cloth.
Put your wrist wear on last, after cosmetics, perfume, hairspray and other chemical substances that can be corrosive.
Store your bracelet separately, in a jewelry box or pouch, to avoid scratching.
Since many of the wrist wear are quite delicate, dip them into a bowl of lukewarm water with your bracelet. If one of the bracelet has a stain, which happens quite a lot – ink from homework, sauce from dinnertime, grass and mud from the park – ease it out with a damp cloth, toothbrush or cotton bud and mild detergent, or just freshen them up with a good soak in a 4:1 or 3:1 solution of baking soda in water to get rid of smells. This works really well.
Below Are Ways To Care For Your Wrist Wear
Easy Way To Clean Your Wrist Wear
Metal jewelry tends to look best when it’s clean and shiny, which is why we recommend that you frequently polish your bracelet. The results of cleaning are especially amazing on sterling silver. According most experts, sterling silver is the most reflective element, which makes it useful in mirrors, telescope, microscopes and solar cells. Polished silver reflects 95% of the visible light spectrum.
A Clean and easy way to polish your wrist wear is to use a polishing cloth at home. I recommend using a sun cloth, which is easy to use without any polishing liquid.
When Your Wrist Wear Is Golden or Copper
Since gold, sterling silver, and copper can all dull over time, it is recommended to bring your bracelets every 6 months to a year for deep cleaning. We also offer deep cleaning services available in-store.
Other Wrist Wear Cleaning Method
Some wrist wear cleaning method are not advised for bracelets with special materials. If your bracelet contains abalone, stone, gemstone inlay, or is oxidized, you can gently rub a polishing cloth on the surface level but also make sure to check with your jeweler that the cleaning method is safe for these materials
A Note About Antique Wrist Wear
Keep in mind, some wrist wears from the past are naturally oxidized and newer bracelets are intentionally oxidized to give an antique or traditional appearance. When cleaning an oxidized bracelet and to preserve the oxidization, I recommend against using deep cleaning methods.
