According to Indian traditions and customs, wearing a bangle is a must for a married woman. There is a belief in some communities that a golden bangle should not be worn alone. In some other communities women when changing the bangle prefer not to remove all the bangles making their arm completely bare. In ancient days, men used to go and work in farms and forest which involves lot of music work, while women used to do all the household work.
